1. About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Crosena (“Crosena”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the Crosena website and application. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Crosena.
Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement and explains how we handle your personal information.
2. Who can use Crosena
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and at least 18 to buy an access pass. You must give us accurate information about yourself, and you must be legally able to enter this agreement in the country you live in.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.
- One account is for one person. Do not share it, sell it or let anyone else use it.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account.
- You can close your account at any time from your settings.
4. Signing in with Google, and connecting Gmail
You may create your account and sign in using Google. If you do, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google and use them only to create and identify your account. We never receive your Google password. Your use of Google’s own services stays governed by Google’s terms, not ours.
Separately and optionally, you may connect your Gmail mailbox so Crosena can send your outreach from your own address and match replies to the right conversation. Connecting it is your choice, nothing else in the product depends on it, and you can disconnect at any time — from your Crosena settings, or from your Google account permissions page.
When a mailbox is connected, you remain the sender of everything that leaves it. You are responsible for the content of those messages and for the anti-spam laws that apply to you, and you must not use the connection to contact people who have asked you to stop. We may suspend the connection if it is used that way.
Crosena’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Exactly which Google scopes we request, what we do with each of them and how long we keep the result is set out in our Privacy Policy.
5. What Crosena is — and is not
Crosena is software. It helps you find opportunities, draft messages, organise documents and track deadlines.
Crosena is not an immigration adviser, a law firm, a recruitment agency or an education consultancy. Nothing on the platform is legal, immigration, financial or career advice. We do not submit applications on your behalf, we do not represent you to any institution, and we cannot promise you an offer, a scholarship, a job, a licence or a visa.
Information about programs, funding, licensing routes and visa requirements is drawn from public and official sources and is kept as current as we reasonably can. Requirements change, sometimes without notice. Always confirm the official requirements with the institution or authority before you rely on them.
AI-generated matches, drafts, reviews and answers are suggestions. They can be incomplete or wrong. Read anything the AI writes before you send it, and check anything it tells you before you act on it.
6. Access passes
- Crosena is sold as a one-time access pass for a fixed number of months. It is not a subscription.
- A pass does not renew automatically. Nothing is charged again when it ends. If you want to continue, you buy another pass.
- Your pass starts when the payment is confirmed and runs for the number of months shown when you bought it.
- What each pass includes is shown at checkout. Some passes limit certain features — for example how many times you can change your profile, or how many destination countries you can keep.
- Prices are shown in the currency at checkout and may change for future purchases. A change never affects a pass you have already bought.
- You can upgrade to a longer pass. Where an upgrade credits what you already paid, the amount and the new end date are shown before you confirm.
- When a pass ends, your account and your data remain. Features that need an active pass stop working until you buy another.
Payments are processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
7. Refunds
If you are in the UK or EU, you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital purchase. By buying a pass and using it immediately, you ask us to start the service straight away and acknowledge that you lose that right once you have started using it.
PLACEHOLDER: state the refund window Crosena chooses to offer, and the conditions. Outside any such window, passes are non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise or where we have failed to provide the service. If something has gone wrong, contact us — we would rather fix it.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- give false information about your identity, qualifications or experience;
- use Crosena to send spam, harassment, or bulk unsolicited messages;
- upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to upload;
- scrape, copy or resell our data, matches or content;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform;
- use Crosena to prepare or support a fraudulent application; or
- use another person’s account, or let them use yours.
9. Your content
Your documents, profile and messages remain yours. You give us a limited licence to store and process them for one purpose only: running the service for you — matching, drafting, reviewing and tracking. We do not use your content to advertise, we do not sell it, and we do not give it to institutions as a sales lead.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it is accurate. You can delete your documents at any time.
10. Sending email through Crosena
If you connect a mailbox, messages sent through Crosena are sent by you, from your address. You are responsible for their content and for complying with the anti-spam laws that apply to you. Do not use the outreach tools to contact people who have asked you to stop.
11. Our intellectual property
The platform, its design, its content and its underlying software are owned by Crosena or our licensors. You may use them to use the service, and for nothing else. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.
12. Availability
We aim to keep Crosena available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we carry out maintenance. Where we plan downtime that will affect you, we will give reasonable notice when we can.
13. Limits of our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for:
- a decision made by any university, employer, licensing body or immigration authority;
- an opportunity, deadline or requirement that changed after we showed it to you;
- anything you sent, submitted or relied on without checking it;
- loss of profit, opportunity, or indirect or consequential loss.
Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account because you broke these terms, we do not refund the remaining time on a pass.
You can close your account whenever you like.
15. Governing law
PLACEHOLDER: insert the governing law and the courts that have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law change. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. We will tell you before a material change takes effect, and continuing to use Crosena afterwards means you accept the new terms. A change never alters what a pass you have already bought entitles you to.
